The region has stories of the passage of the Apostle Paul where Greece was the country through which the Christian religion was brought to the Western world, while its later history is rich with the revolution against the Ottoman Empire, the Balkan and World Wars, up to the present day. History, myths and legends can be told both in museums, archaeological/cultural sites with guides but also from the mountain or tour leaders during the various activities (e.g. mountain hiking).
