The Olympian Symposium 2026

We are delighted to announce the organization of “The Olympian Symposium 2026”, themed
“The Evolution of the Interstellar Medium Across Cosmic Times.”

The Olympian Symposium is a premier international conference dedicated to the exchange of groundbreaking scientific advances in astrophysics and cosmology, while also aiming to actively engage the broader public through related outreach activities and events.

This year’s symposium is devoted to the study of the evolution of the Interstellar Medium (ISM) across cosmic time and will take place from May 18 to May 22, 2026.

The conference will be hosted in Greece, specifically at the Mediterranean Village Hotel & Spa, located in Paralia Katerini (Olympus Riviera). This modern seaside conference venue, overlooking Mount Olympus, offers an ideal setting for scientific exchange, collaboration, and networking.

The Olympian Symposium is a well-established institution in the field of astrophysics. It is organized under the auspices of the Section of Astrophysics, Astronomy & Mechanics of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and brings together leading scientists from universities and research centers around the world, fostering scientific dialogue and international collaboration on key issues in modern astronomy.

This distinguished meeting, held approximately once every three years, was founded and first launched in 2014 by Dr. Thomas Bisbas.

Each previous edition has attracted participants from dozens of countries, including representatives from major universities and research institutions, and has gained significant recognition both socially and within academic circles.

As part of this year’s program, a large-scale public outreach event titled “Astronomy Park” will also take place on May 16–17, 2026.
