National Championship of OPTIMIST U13 boats

The pulse of another important sporting event, the OPTIMIST U13 Panhellenic Boat Championship, for ages from 7 to 12 years old, takes place in Paralia Katerini. More than 600 athletes are expected to offer a rich spectacle, excitement and high performance to the fans of Katerini and the wider region. The Greek Sailing Federation, the Nautical Club of Katerini (N.O.KAT) and the Municipality of Katerini are responsible for the organization, while the races will be held with the kind support of: the Holy Metropolis of Citrus, Katerini and Platamonos and the Regional Unity of Pieria. The SeaWay Festival At the same time, the SeaWay Festival will be organized for the first time in facilities near the Yacht Club, which will present to the public products and services of sponsors related to the sport and the sea. There will also be a special food and drink area (food festival) and outdoor activities for young and old (treasure hunts, horse riding, sand games, etc.). Soon, the organisers will present the full programme and exhibits of the first Sea Way Festival. Open Ways in collaboration with NOCAT are organising the 1st Sea Way Festival.

Open Ways Events & Travel: Official Subgrant of The Med Pearls Project

Open Ways Events & Travel’s proposal, “MYthic paTHS”, for the development of slow tourism in the pilot area of Mount Olympus, under the Medpearls project (ENI CBC Med Programme) , has been approved for funding by the European Programme. We are opening the way for a new page in the tourism of the region promoting sustainable tourism by respecting the ecosystem and developing actions that highlight the magnificence of nature, history and long tradition of Mount Olympus and the wider region. The programme in Greece is implemented by the Municipality of Thessaloniki / Department of Tourism.   #GOMED #SustainableTourism #TheMedPearlsProject
